We were shortlisted as finalists in three categories for the Yorkshire Financial Awards 2022 that took place at the prestigious Royal Armouries on Thursday the 24th  of February 2022. Independent judging panel chair Jennifer Green, who is managing director of corporate communications at TheCityUK, said: “The Yorkshire Financial Awards has very quickly become the benchmark for outstanding financial services across the county. It doesn’t just celebrate the firms that excel, but also the teams and individuals in them who work tirelessly to serve their customers and clients.”

It’s fantastic to be recognised as the best at what we do in our region, especially as in all 3 categories we were in the final with some very big firms with offices nationwide.
Andrew was awarded “Financial Adviser of the year” – the judge’s feedback was “Andrew Elson from Berry & Oak is a sought-after financial adviser, highly regarded by clients and respected by peers. Andrew has enjoyed a commendable 18 months, achieving fantastic results whilst supporting the wider community. A top financial advisor”
Sarah was awarded “Director of the year”. Feedback was “Here’s why Sarah Elson, an education champion is a clear choice for this award. Sarah’s fully committed to upskilling the future financial serves workforce whether by visiting schools to shine a light on potential career opportunities or creating opportunities within Berry & Oak and closely mentoring staff.
The Berry & Oak team were also awarded “Financial Adviser team of the year”. Feedback was “The Berry & Oak are impressive in so many ways, from their community engagement to their strong focus on diversity and inclusion. The team are also big believers in client education through regular communication in person and virtual events and even handy video guides explain the basics of financial advice. For such a small team they have a massive impact”
