What do we offer graduates?
As a Berry & Oak trainee, you will work alongside our full team, including our managing directors, Andrew and Sarah, in order to progress through the steps involved in becoming a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner. Our company culture welcomes new and innovative minds, and we hope that as the next generation of financial services professionals, you will be able to innovatively improve Berry & Oak for the better. You will be in a client-facing position from the very start and, as a smaller business, we guarantee your voice will be heard and your ideas put into practice. Your position within our company will progress as your skills do, so you can feel certain that a career in financial planning with Berry & Oak is in sight.
Training and Support
The five-year programme will lead you on the journey to becoming a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner. We will support you each step of the way, paying for exams and assisting with training and revision as well as incremental pay rises based on your progression. Although you will be expected to work hard in order to achieve your professional qualifications, by the end of the process you can expect to take a lead on key client relationships and meetings in your new role as a Financial Planner.

Supporting the future of the profession with training sponsorship
As a firm, we have signed up to support a student through the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the CII, as part of the Verve “We are Change” initiative. “We are Change” aims to attract and train new career-hungry talent to the financial planning profession.
There have been many initiatives in recent years to attract new people into financial services but unfortunately, we still see greater volumes of professionals leave than we see new ones enter. This means laying the foundations now so that there is a greater talent pool to tap into on the brighter side of the pandemic.
