We’re absolutely thrilled to share the exciting news that Berry & Oak took home three prestigious awards at the Yorkshire Financial Awards 2025, held on 26th June in Leeds.
Now in their seventh year, the Yorkshire Financial Awards were created to recognise and reward the outstanding talent and achievements of the region’s financial services sector. To come away with three wins on the night is a fantastic honour and a real testament to the dedication, expertise, and passion of the entire Berry & Oak team.
Our Three Award Wins:
1. Financial Adviser of the Year, Andrew Elson
We were delighted to see Andrew Elson named Financial Adviser of the Year. The judges commented: “This year’s winner is dedicated to delivering exceptional client service, earning consistent 5-star reviews and glowing feedback. Their impact extends beyond individual clients, as they actively contribute to the industry through forums, events, and B2B workshops—helping to educate and inspire the wider financial community.” We were delighted to retain the title for the 4th year in 2025, having also won in 2024, 2023 and 2022.
2. Female Leader of the Year, Sarah Elson
Sarah Elson, was recognised as Female Leader of the Year. This is a new award launched in 2025. The judges praised her for:
“Exceptional dedication to both personal and professional development, providing invaluable training and support to her team. Her leadership not only drives success within the organisation but also addresses key challenges faced by women in the industry, highlighting solutions and creating pathways for overcoming these barriers. Beyond her work within the business, she is deeply committed to supporting the local community, contributing to positive change both inside and outside the organisation. A truly inspiring leader.”
3. Small Financial Business of the Year, Berry & Oak
We were also honoured to win Small Financial Business of the Year. This is a new award launched in 2025. The judges remarked:
“This year’s winner submitted a strong and impressive application that clearly demonstrated their commitment to supporting a wide range of clients. Not only have they provided valuable financial guidance to individuals, but they’ve also shown a strong dedication to supporting local schools and addressing the financial needs of older people.”
