What do you like about working at Berry & Oak?

I really appreciate how friendly and supportive everyone at Berry & Oak is. The team are always happy to help; answer any questions I have and share their knowledge. I have also really enjoyed the early exposure to client meetings and getting to know clients, as it has been a great opportunity to see how financial planning works in practise and learn from the team.

What does the day in the life of a Intern look like?

In my role, I have been involved in preparing for client meetings, updating client records and assisting financial advisors with tasks following appointments. I also get involved in obtaining portfolio valuations and information from several providers, carrying out research and helping to keep client records and back-office systems up to date. Alongside this, I support the team with reports, events and other day to day tasks.

What are your top three life highlights so far?

1. Exploring Gaudi’s architecture in Barcelona
2. Hiking through Trossachs National Park in the Scottish Highlands
3. Touring the Colosseum in Rome

What is an ability you wish you had?

To be able to travel to space.

What’s currently top of your bucket list?

Visting the Greek islands
